beach buff beauty house

The existing house is a 1990s buff brick with a 1970s nostalgia. With great bones, the house is run down and unloved. The proposed alterations are to make the interior liveable and refined, while reworking the layout and use of rooms. The proposed extension introduces a kitchen and meals wing to the house, also creating a framed courtyard garden to soak up the north sun. A stylised shade screen ties the old and new together and provides the support for climbing plants to soften the border between house and garden, while filtering the summer sun into the living spaces. Currently in Planning assessment at Council, this project is anticipated to commence construction in early 2020.
