This project is a preliminary study for a future build, on a rare idyllic site on the Mornington Peninsula overlooking farmland, sea, and the largest remaining banksia forest in Victoria.

Retaining and extending the existing beach house, the design turns a simple elegant face to the street, while the exposed sea face steps down the sloping site toward the forest. The glass facade rests on a structural system referencing the rhythm and density of the trees.
